Seeing as how my house is far too tiny for a washer and dryer, I have been to all of the Estes Park laundromats. I frequent Dad's and Estes Park Laundracenters the most.
Dad's Laundry & Public Showers Upper Stanley Village, (970) 586-2025
Probably the best place overall for laundry if you're from out of town. Dad's is always staffed with friendly folks, and offers a large, very clean space with plenty of machines, clean public showers, drop-off service, lots of books and magazines, a television, an iron & ironing board, change machines, soap vending machines, and plenty of parking. They are located right next to Safeway (the largest grocery store in town), a hardware store, a movie theater, a pet store, an assortment of other shops, and various fast food restaurants. Start your laundry and then head down to Rocky Mountain Fruit Shake, sit by the fountain, and enjoy the mountain views.
This Estes Park laundromat is open 7 days a week, but they don't normally stay open past 8 pm or so.
Estes Park Laundracenters 172 S St Vrain Ave, (970) 481-9900
This is the largest laundry in town, and is open everyday from 5 am - 11 pm. It is unstaffed, but is cleaned daily. They have several very new, large capacity washers and dryers, and they sometimes offer specials, such as discount washes or even the occasional free wash (check the digital displays on the machines for the word FREE). There are coin changers and machines that vend laundry soap, and there is plenty of parking behind the building.
Unfortunately there isn't much else in this area of town (across from the Holiday Inn) to amuse you, but if you're a local, the hours are definitely convenient.
Estes Park Laundracenters In Town 183 W Riverside Dr, (970) 481-9900
This is a tiny, somewhat cramped Estes Park laundromat but it is packed full of machines, many of them new. There are also two new, giant capacity dryers. Unstaffed, it is open everyday from 5 am - 11 pm. It is in the same parking lot as the post office and is an easy walk from all the downtown shops, but parking might be an issue in summer.
National Park Village Laundromat 900 Moraine Ave, (970) 586-2702
The closest Estes Park laundromat to Rocky Mountain National Park, for those who don't want to venture into town. The machines are somewhat older, but it is usually clean and not too crowded. It is in the same complex as a small grocery store, a gift shop, and a restaurant, with plenty of parking.
Note: If you will be working for Rocky Mountain National Park this summer, there is a self-service laundry facility available for employees.
